Traces 1 - dig deep into effects; not your pocket!
The first edition of Traces focuses on arps, with 50 Arpeggiator Racks, ranging from simple beat sequences to complex melodies that can be altered in real-time. Combining the Racks with each other delivers even more sequences with literally thousands of combinations to try out. From instant glitch to subtle backgrounds. And how about using several Arpeggiator Racks at once?
Traces 1 is all about putting the groove back in arps, with 50 Racks that will keep you busy for a very long time, and hopefully inspire a long, happy life full of arpeggiatorism.
Available from our shop for just 7.50€

Those sounds are interesting, hoff! What's the CPU load like? I'm on a o-o-o-old Mac...

They are Arpeggiator racks. Its not the sounds you get with this pack, its the stuff to make the sequences. The racks use up virtually no cpu power and you can use them with any instruments you wish.

Currently, 7.5 Euros is $11.60.
These devices are not trash, they are sophisticated, with a lot of thought behind them.
They can also serve as a source of inspiration when you run out of ideas.

I don't even know how you calculated that one. 42$?

The samples sound surprisingly video-gameish, and I'm not sure it's because of the plug-ins used or not. I thought the "good blend" sample seemed surprisingly like an aphex twin track. Pretty cool.
I wish there were more demos but I am tempted to purchase these anyway because they are so cheap.
BTW, did you ever get my email about needing a new download of soundwreckz?

Remember that this pack doesn't come with sounds. I used sounds from Surgical Tools and SoundWrecks. They are 50 Arpeggiator Racks which are combinations of all the MIDI Effects.
I did receive your mail and sent you a new link. However I just sent it again to make sure. Check your spam filter please.
Cheers

I am really excited about seeing what you did with these arps. Much of the inspiration that got me into max came from seeing how far you could push live on its own.
Thanks again for the new link. I waded through my spam for a bit. Scary place.

I like it because it's an intense pack JUST focused on arps. Really slick.

I didn't know what 'j/k' meant. I guess it means 'Just kidding' now.
The division threw me off. What to do if k=0?
Imagine a whole world reading the crap in this forum. I'm supposed to know the abbreviations and idioms of Tamil Tigers from Singapore, too?
BTW (that means 'by the way'), I was billed $11.57.

I bought it but only had a short time playing with it. I would love to have more documentation - but apparently no company does a lot of documentation for sample-packs/live-packs. Even the EIC comes without any textfile that would specify a little bit where the instruments can be found, how they were recorded, how you are supposed to use them etc.
This covert-op-arpegg-pack has at least a textfile that explains in which folder in the library you can find them. But a little explanation of a suggested use for each preset (or group of presets) would be nice.
Don't understand me wrong here, I love to experiment with and abuse all presets etc. but when starting to frickel around with this stuff it would be handy if there were some more details available on what which preset/sound/item does.

You make a good point. I think we will try something along the lines of providing clips with "demo sounds" for midi effects in the future.
That way each effect will have a companion clip illustrating the use.
Thanks for your feedback
