Offline .EXE for setting warp markers.

Post by RobertX » Fri Sep 17, 2004 6:16 am

It'd be nice to have an offline utility that could be used to set warp points. Either that or make it so Live can read markers embedded in .wav or .aiff files from other programs like SoundForge or Peak and translate those to warp markers.

Here's Why...

Cause it would be nice to have a production assistant put warp markers in the several thousand files I need to import for DJing. I don't like fiddling around with that kind of thing during a performance, ya know? And there are only so many hours in a day. If there's going to be .rex support it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to be able to import markers as warp points... not that I'm a developer or anything...

How would you think those other format markers should translate into warp markers? They mark totaly different things...

And Re: your assistant batch preparing files...

Let him use Live itself for it:
Let him enable "Create Analysis Files" in the Preferences.
Let him create a huge number of scenes.
let him select a huge number of files in the browse and
drag them all at once to one channel in session view.
Bingo. They will get analysed and the analysis data will be saved to disc.
