Rendering problems

Post by rick-slo » Mon Sep 13, 2004 9:39 pm

If you are having problems with static / cracking in your rendered songs then you are like me. There is noise artifacts in files rendered at 44100 or slower even though the track within Live is fine. I got no solutions emailing Ableton. By the way I am using Windows 98 2ed and an Athlon 1200 (via chipset). Maybe this does not happen on faster systems.
My work around (and it does work) is to render the song at 88200 or above and the convert it with another program (even Windows Sound Recorder works fine) to 44100. This works well (no noise artifacts). I think Live's rendering code could be improved.

hi there,

I think this is due to Athlon CPU's.

I use a dual Athlon MP 2400 system and
on some tracks, exclusively midi stuff I have
to render 3-6 times until I've got a satisfing
rendered track.

This never happend on my Centrino laptop.
The only things that seems to help a bit for me
is to statefully specify on which CPU ableton live
is working (cpu 1 from 0 & 1).

Well, try once to render your stuff on a 100% intel
station a leet us know.

Cheers,
anne

Hi folks,

if you own Live 4, please give the latest Live version 4.0.3 a try.
There are several bug fixes concerning rendering.

regards,
Alex
