i've got a couple of hardware synths that sound a lot like boards of canada.

however, i've read interviews with them where they say that most of what people consider their "synth sound" is actually samples.

Or alternatively you could buy a Cheetah MS6 for about £50 which basically has all of BOC's pad and lead sounds!

You'd be lucky to get one for 50 pounds, they're usually at 250-400 dollars these days.

Love mine though, most underrated module ever.
