Two tracks, techno and techno-dub

Post by Wallace » Mon May 05, 2008 3:45 pm

Hi,

I'm arranging and mixing some song for a little demo (5 tracks).
Here are the tracks:
SurSt is more techno, 136 bpm, very melodic.
SoftWave is softer, 125 bpm, quite dub.

The links will work just for 7 days from today: if it doesn't work, just tell me and I re-upload them.

I need some advices on these tracks, in particular about:
- sounds (mixing, mastering, punching)
- arrangement

Thank you for your help.

SurSt is pretty good only I noticed at 5:49:00 theres a new sound that gets introduced into the mix that would have been ok but its not in beat with the rest of the mix. Otherwise all is good. I like that it's minimal. I seem to try to over do it, your track feels cool, dance-able.

The website that I downloaded the mp3 from is kinda different, I thought I had the wrong site at first.

Let me look at the other track and I'll wright back ok.

cheers

I think is a problem related to your player - with my link you just download the song.

Try again and let me know.
Thank you for answering.

I've only listened to SurSt and I really like it. I wouldn't worry about more mastering, an engineer can do that for you. The mix is properly balanced so far.

I got one question about your bassline. I like the sound and would like to recreate it. What are the specifics on it, ADSR and osc+filters? I also want to make techno and your bassline is very detroidish

thank you for your listening.

Kozak: here[1] you can find my operator bass patch, without all the eq, compressor (sidechain with the bass) and saturator - try add them adapting the sound to your song ;)
