just upgraded to the new version of the linplug RMIV drum machine which includes a large number of MIDI groove files and a drag-n-drop option into the host sequencer ...
... only this isnt working in live 4-03 for me - trying to drag the MIDI out of RMIV and into live results in nothing at all happening other than a cursor change to whatever tool is appropriate for the area of live ive tried to drag into ...
... ive tried dragging the MIDI both to an open clip and to the clip markers in session view with no luck in either ...
... any ideas ???

Ableton does not support drag and drop between VSTi` and itself. I have the same problem with RM4.1 and Phatmatik Pro. I was hoping that they would put drag and drop in this update but they did`nt.
Oh well never mind I guess they cant do everything at once.

ive since spoken to peter from linplug and hes 'talking' to ableton about this issue ... his response hinted that this feature might appear pretty soon ...
... my workaround is to drag the MIDI into into a temp folder window and then drag that into live - a bit tedious but it works

Drag & drop is definetely on your list for a future improvement. But I can't tell when we will introduce it. It will for sure not come in a bug fix update.
We have a good connection to LinPlug. When we develop drag & drop, I'll make sure it works with the RM IV.

keep in mind... a work around:
Drag from the 'D' button in RMIV to your desktop. It creates the MID file. Drag that MID file into LIVE where you want it.
Simply one extra step...
MacBook Pro (MacOS 13.0.1) i9 Processor, 32gb RAM, 4tb SSD
(STUDIO I/O) MOTU UltraLite mk5 (w/ADA8200), (LIVE I/O) Behringer X Air XR18
Ableton Live Suite 11 (Live performances), Studio One 5 (Studio Stem Creation)
