Midi Controller Stands

what do y'all think:

a 25 key midi controller keyboard weighing 4 lbs (eg: oxygen eight)...

...being able to comfortably sit on a quiklok type shelf that clamps on to a regular mic stand...

without tipping the stand over....

providing dimensions of the shelf are big enough to accomodate the keyboard?

i know. its stupid.

I wouldnt do it - the shelf may be fine for just putting stuff on, but if you're going to play it the stand is going to be all over the place.

For light triggering use you may be fine, tho.

Here's what I use with a small sheet of plywood and 2 c-clamps.
