best dj software for mp3s + midi controller?

did you know that u can map buttons to the active clips of each channel?

this makes jumping between clip controls a lot of easier... the fun begins when u have warped your complete track and sample collection. the only thing i'm not satisfied with is the clip loading from the browser... i have to prepare my live sessions everytime beofore i begin to mix.

What kind of sound do you do?

Is it music that would otherwise be danceable? or mixable?

Don't take that the wrong way, it just got me all curious. I can't imagine sifting through a track collection when I play, but I never really got into Ableton to do live stuff, more of the old fashioned Traktor type.

all mixes in www.phantombynight.com in the 3rd column are made with ableton live....tracks warped...and effects + mixing on-the-fly.

Danceable...electro...you might like it.

1 thing...every time you see a DJ on stage without headphone...you know he's doing his stuff with ableton live...or he's faking

I downloaded the Traktor demo - I like the idea but the internal beatmatching is way to sloppy

however, it sounds super clean and 4 decks is hot
