electro house beginner

been djing with ableton for a while made a few tracks just using samples now want to start putting some basic tracks of my own together can't play a synth yet but keep reading about these 2 octave synths where you don't need to know how play a synth but don't really understand wot it means can anybody please help

I am not sure what you mean by 2 octave synths but here is a great youtube video about how to make Electro House in Live:

Got a link or model number for one of these things? If we have an example of what you're referring to it may make the question easier for us to understand.

Get any midi controller that send note messages, load up a scale preset in livve and you will always be in tune.
