time signature change

Post by podprod » Tue Oct 05, 2004 12:53 pm

I have been requesting time signature change in the arrange and automation for years now..Makes sense that if you can import a general midi file from program to program and time signatures show as written..ableton should at least follow that basic of a protocol..makes no sense to me to include midi and not the basic midi rules over the past 20 years. Easy thing to include that I hope gets addressed

OMIGOD does Live need this. C'mon Ableton I'm sure you've realized by now that everyone isn't using live to do straight 4/4 house tracks with no time signature changes. I know, I know you can specify the time signatures in the clips individually and just ignore the global time signature, but it would be great to be able to do this for the sake of stuff like MIDI.

Just wondering if there are plans to include the automation of time signature changes in the next Live update. Would love to see this added. Please please please.

Just bringing this back up, Surely ableton Time signature changes is the next great unexplored as far as experimentation goes.

Also is there a way to program static Time sig changes, e.g Bar1-61 in 4/4 and then 62-120 5/4 etc, etc
