Automation Problem

Automation Problem

Is this just me or does automation only do half a job.

When I set up an automation lane for a vst the control Im automating goes for example from 0 - 10. If I set the knob at 0 and start a ramp in the automation lane from the lowest to the highest setting I would expect the knob to be automated to move up from 0 to 10. It does`nt it ony goes from 0 to 6 or 7. This happens not just on VST but on ableton instruments too.

Am I missing something or is it really that half assed

That doesn't sound right - are you sure you don't have some other automation from arrangement view running at the same time?

No there was no other automation i the session view. I deleted both tacks one with Operator and the other with Jamstix and rebuilt them.

Worked fine after that....dont know what the problem was.

is there an 'Envelope amount' setting not turned all the way up somewhere?
