Hi and welcome,
I use Behringer Truth 2031a. People are gonna piss on Behringer and there are most likely much better monitors out there. But I'm a hobbyist. They fit my budget. I know them by now. I'm quite pleased.
You're probably gonna get suggestions on KRK Rokits. A bit more expensive I think. But fine monitors from what I gather.
A lot of people are complaining about the M-Audio drivers. In general. To be honest the drivers for my Axiom under Windows were shite - kept crashing. Now on OSX without drivers. No probs. But that's a keyboard... not audio interface which you were asking about. I run a ESI Quatafire 610 FW interface, the drivers for OSX hasn't been updated since 2004 or something, but the built in Core audio driver takes good care of it.
You could do a search on the forum - both monitors and interfaces gets discussed quite frequently.

Don't buy the M-Audio interface. You'll hate yourself for it. Check out one of the new Echo Audio boxes, or a MOTU if you have the cash.
Monitors... You really need to go to a music store and do some comparative listening. When I bought my KRKs, I listened to comparable models from Yamaha and M-Audio, and the KRKs seemed the best value to me. The Behringer Truths are a pretty good value too.

one of my friend told me that Yamaha HS50M is known for clear sound
and like you said, he also recommend the KRK RP6G2 Rokits
the_planet:
seriously? my friend said that m-audio ast Track Ultra is quite good
cuz it using usb 2.0 which faster than firewire and compatible with my mpb
i already checked the echo, the price comparing with other brand it got less i/o but right now i dont really sure how much i/o do i need....
they say echo best known for sound, but m-audio provide musical devices with affordable price....

already check that out too. any recommended series?
the pros: is made for guitarist, but people says it not very good for an audio
interfaces, cause i want to build this bedroom studio at least i can use it to make rough demo or good quality sound for tv jingle to broadcast
cons: think i dont need the included vst for guitar effect sounds, cuz right now im using guitar rig, and its quite good. any recommendation for plug-in effect for guitar or bass? im also checkin out amplitube.
thx for quick reply guys, thats really helpful, cuz the novation guy want his synth back in a couple of day. then i have 0 audio interfaces
my friend want to sell his soundblaster audio 2zs is it good enough for makin music? its a pci soundcard btw...
btw this is what im planning to do with the setup, any ideas that will feed my needs? or could you give me some sites that give information how to use ableton for an electronic rock band?
