I was once in the camp of the Abe's being hands-off on an audio editor, but I say if they have enough time to spend on stuff like Orchestral Instruments (even if they are just licensing and bundling) then an integrated & rudimentary audio editor isn't something out of order to request.

+1 saith I

Yeah, what's with that? Did Ableton just put their stamp of approval on someone elses work and bundle it, or did they personally spend precious man-hours doing all the work to make these bundles (ie: EIC, session drums, etc.).

I hope Ableton is focusing on just making Live the best platform for live work and improving its workflow/features in that domain. I run other apps when I want to do other things (Adobe for wave editing/recording, FL for experimenting with ideas, Reason for wasting time making crazy FX chains, etc).

No matter how hard any company tries, they just aren't going to do everything or appeal to everyone.

PS: this is a vote for no Live native audio editor.
