hehe, FSOL again
in 1993 (i was eleven) i saw a lifeforms promo video in tv - and suddenly everything turned from black&white to color!
......
I can't help but to throw Raymond Scott in there - i guess his stuff from the mid 50's would qualify as the earliest 100% electronic music.

And my fellow countryman(woman) Else Marie Pade did electronic music from ca. 1956!

Underground Sound of Lisbon - So Get Up (1994)
Pretty much changed my life, from an alternative music fan to an electronic music listening, pill munching, robot dancing freak!

The Advent - Signum
I've heard lots of trance and breaks before this, but nothing really inspires me like this one (to this day I still feel like shaking my ass to it).
I can't remember where I got it, but its like a promo for Ecko clothing or something.
I skipped through the tracks quickly when I got it home, but the opening drumline on this one just grabbed me.

Dylan
Dylan - "It's alright ma, I'm only bleeding" and Dylan - "Housecarpenter"
Made me realize that I needed to flush all of the phasers, wah-pedals, fuzzboxes down the toilet - and "relearn" how to actually play the guitar.
Those two tunes also reminded me that the greatest instrument ever invented is the human voice. There is a haunting emotion in those two songs that are provided by a very sparse mix - one man's voice and his acoustic guitar...yet the emotion of those songs is greater than/ transcends the elements that make it up.
Anyways, I've only really discovered a lot of Dylan's stuff in the last few years. Wish I would have listened to him sooner - coulda bypassed the whole Van Halen, Scorps, JP, Metallica shit and just got to the real mccoy a decade or two earlier....
