Yeah, that was wicked, I'm sitting here on my mother's porch reading through this thread, my mom is sitting right next to me. Fortunately I caught what was happening before I scrolled all the way down.
Fuck this forum.
Live fucked me yesterday
You know what's really funny, I drafted an email to ableton's public relations. Had to re-write it three times because it kept bouncing back. The first draft contained some angry expletives, the second did not, it contained the word porn.
The error message was: "--> Mail delivery declined due to offensive or not allowed words."
How thoughtful of them to protect their sensitive little eye's so thoroughly while their customers get to scroll randomly across porn images, possibly with their mothers, or children, or whoever sitting next to them.
The big fuck off is that to my knowledge nobody from the company has even acknowledged this problem, offered an apology, or anything of the sort. Everyone is too busy working on another fucking upgrade that's due out in about 6 months I suppose while "louisemosley" or whatever the fuck posts random 'anal fuck" images throughout regular threads.
You can't even avoid them now.
fuck this and fuck off.

actually, they did do something - now all new registrations have to be personally approved by Ableton staffsmutek wrote:You know what's really funny, I drafted an email to ableton's public relations. unfortunately that strategy doesn't seem to be working
personally I am trying to post less here, but I still check it many times a day
I know there are many others like me, known and trusted by Ableton
so I can't help feeling they are being a bit daft not accepting the regular posters' offers to help - we have several of us made the offer a a number of times
I don't particularly want to be bothered with it, but out of the sheer practicality of it I'd do it
hitting delete now and then doesn't seem like a big deal really
Exactly, it's infuriating.forge wrote:

Anyway, I've started a sep thread about it. You'll see it.
Re: Live fucked me yesterday
I registered these messages with 1) Intensive renderings 2) "Wrong" VST effectsattackmode wrote:Once I had my setup running I opened the project and after loading like 60% of the samples live gave me the "an internal error occurred" and "not enough free memory" error messages. I even could see the arrangement but Live wouldn't respond anymore. Needless to say that this gave me a good adrenalin rush.
I assume you have used different FX for your project and it's possible that your problem is caused by some VST that can work right on your desktop and wrong on your laptop. Open your project and try to deactivate the VSTs..it could be an idea.
