breaking up channels?

I record into live via, mixer into a sound card, I want to record drums, bass, and guitar all at the same time but can live some how break up the channels in live so I can edit each one sepratley? anything like that possible or anything close..or any other ideas on how I should record?

you will have to record one track at a time, or get a sound card with enough physical audio inputs to connect to every instrument that you want to record, that is the only way to do it all at the same time and still have the instruments recorded separately on their own tracks. if you record them all simotaneously on two tracks in stereo live or any other music application does not have the ability to separate them after the fact.
