Is anyone around here using Live with a Yamaha n8 or n12? If so, how is it? Do any of the integration features work (channel selection, input selection etc.) or does it just work as an interface and nothing more?
I've seen that people have been using them with Logic, Sonar, and Reaper with varying levels of success. Any experiences you could share using one of them with Live would be appreciated.
Anyone using Live with a Yamaha n-series mixer?
really like the idea of the morphing compression on every channel. The monitoring system sounds pretty tight too.
Shame theres no motorized faders - would be an even bigger shame if it only works nice on cubase.
you might find some ableton info on here -

let us know if you do!

Wish I could justify buying one of these but I don't do enough recording and mixing from a desk. I use mine (Alesis multimix firewire 16) purely to get the signals into logic.
Used to have a Yamaha MG16/6fx and loved it. Use yamaha powered desks at work and theyre great too. If only I was rich!

Can the n12 be used a midi controller?
i.e. Can I assign every knob, switch and fader to be used in Abelton live?
