I don't think this is a one size fits all situation.

I think it's as much about resolution as size, I use a 15.4" screen but at 1600x1050, tried a 15.4" 1200x800 last week and hated it.

I didnt expect anybody will recommend "more" option ... I think it is good for desktop PC/MAC but not for notebook

Well , Im personally thinking about 15.4" , but problem is ... I have big fear after using normal 15" monitor , after this one I bought 17,4 LCD and it is enough , but now Im moving to notebook and 17.4" notebook seems to me too big

it is bit funny

It's not just about screen size, but resolution, interface, and personal preference.

Watching on 17.4" at 1440x900 is the same as watching 15.4" at 1440x900 ??

It is curious but my personal preference is 13.3" ... but I cant imagine to have Moog Modular V on this screen ...
