Well, our modernized world is savage as well. We have thieves, liars, murderers, hypocrites, bastards, promiscuity, corrupt leaders, the list goes on and on. The lives of these "savages" face the same problems within their tribes. They really are no more savage than the modern world.

No worries, fwiw I think it's really sad that we can't leave people who still live naturally alone, unfortunately the rainforests they inhabit are disappearing at such a rate that we have no choice but to contact them to help them understand what's going to happen to them.

This is what's so frustrating to me, it's as if you either have to be a total ass and have no understanding that it's not intelligent to think of a tribe of people who look healthy as lost, or you are a PC wimp who hates himself for being male/white/in a powerful technologically advanced culture?

How about the obvious? They are not lost, and we are not "found"? (cue ethios or some other jesus/technology-as-the-indicator-of-cultural-worth chiming in with some abstract apology for western culture, when I've made no attack against it)
