I've got 500MB ram, and an Athlon 2500, which has provided me a good 25-30 audio tracks in ACID, with up to 6 buses of VST effects.... and NEVER had a problem...
But with LIVE.. I only have 8 audio tracks, and 2 buses of VST effects, and it is at 75% CPU Load and choking like MAD!!!
Any advice to get better CPU performance? I am recording guitar takes, vocals, etc.. and in many cases I only use a small sample of the vocal or guitar recording... can I delete the rest, so it isn't loaded into RAM? Do I have to constantly RESAMPLE to bounce tracks down??
What does it take, cause LIVE is otherwise bad ass.

Guitar Rig kills CPU...
I believe my problem is the Native Instruments VST plugin, GUITAR RIG. Everytime I assign that sucker to an audio track, my CPU usage jumps by 5-10% UGGGHHHH.... which sucks, cause it rocks.
Any advice on how to optimize this?
