customizable keyboard shortcuts (and a few new ones)

love ableton live - but i used be a logic user and i must say, coming from logic, the customizability of the ableton interface is profoundly restricted. in addition, some very important actions I perform regularly are mapped to shortcuts that are almost totally unusable.

for instance, i keep my right hand on my mouse most of the time and left hand on the keyboard. this makes the following shortcuts basically unusable:

- toggling the detail view: shift+12 or CTL+ALT+L
- toggle the browser: CTL+ALT+B this is a hard shortcut even with two hands
- set loop to selection: CTL+L
etc

and some other highly useful controls have no shortcuts at all:

- folding/unfolding a track (have to click the tiny little arrow target)
- zooming in/out where your cursor is: this would be best mapped to SHIFT+scrollwheel and would nicely compliment the scrollwheel and CTL+scroll shortcuts. i also think the scroll wheel speed is a too slow to be useful - i end up using CTL+ALT+drag and try to avoid having to zoom.

some examples of what i think are good shortcuts:

toggling track/clip view: SHIFT+TAB
panning the arrange display: CTL+ALT+drag

the best thing IMO would just be to make as many actions as possible controllable via a customizable keyboard shortcut customizer. go look at logic - it's vast and wonderful in this regard. at v7 already, i'm surprised this hasn't been a priority feature.

HTH and thanks for a great product.

ah and i nearly forgot to mention the following unmapped commands as well!

- solo track
- mute track
- activate/deactivate clips
- activate/deactivate notes

zomg! ;)

each of these could be implemented to apply to current selection, or perhaps to whatever is under the cursor at the time, which might be even better.
