hi,
I already asked this before and got no answer, so it's either impossible to do, or it's a really (involuntary) stupid question!
but:
- Where are the own personal impulse presets saved, in order to have the same exact configuration on an other computer? They aren't in the factory preset folder and I can't find them.
- And is there a way to see the exact placement of a MIDI note? (like in the evenement window in Logic, for ex. "_ 3 2 44")
thanx 4 your help

1. do a system wide search for the name of the preset you just saved and you will find it.
2. i doubt that since there is no absolute MIDI placement of a note in Live (imagine you're working in session view exclusively-- you can move a midi loop all over the place and repeat it many times and it never has to appear at bar 255... but it might.. but it might not...). it's not referencing the 'beginning' of a sequence like it would be in Logic.
Re: Impulse preset / midi note position
Do you mean like 1.4, inside a midi clip? I was looking for that as well. It would've been easy to have it written in the info pane at the bottom of the screen when mousing over a note.bosley wrote: - And is there a way to see the exact placement of a MIDI note? absolutely no match...I'm still looking 4...
>it's not referencing the 'beginning' of a sequence like it would be in Logic
but it would be very useful if it was at less relatively indicated inside a loop!
so thanx 4 your indications,
cheers

Bosley, if you are using a mac, then Live stores your Simpler and Impulse presets in the following path:
~/Library/Application Support/Ableton/Live4.0.3/User Presets/Simpler
~/Library/Application Support/Ableton/Live4.0.3/User Presets/Impulse
BTW if you save a set as self contained, those presets used will be saved in the set.
