Well, I got the winners right, but you folks got one score perfect each.

That last match was surprisingly entertaining. Shame to see the first of the hosts out!

im going for

Croatia 2 - Germany 2
Austria 1 - Poland 0

I think croatia will step it up tonight as although they won the first game they were poor (and Kranjcar in particular looked tired), i reckon they'll really go for it, and pletikosa looks pretty good.

Dont know why i think Austria will beat Poland because Poland looked pretty good, but I think they'll get a scrappy goal near the end.

Rgarding watching the matches, do you know about this site... http://livefooty.doctor-serv.com/ ?

Not amazing quality but helps me avoid having to buy Sky Sports for the Prem League! They appear to have all Euro 2008 games too, but these are all shown on BBC and ITV terrestrial anyway here, but people overseas might benefit from the streams.

i use that a lot during the season, mainly for cup games (carling / fa) because they show the premiership here on tv, but there's no way they'll show a midweek carling cup game with coventry playing :)

also you can use a proxy to watch the games on the bbc site :

http://www.xroxy.com/proxy-country-GB.htm

and all the other content the bbc has that you cant normally see if youre not in the UK.

I catch whatever I can, I get Fox Soccer Network which shows the German league, South American leagues, European leagues, EPL, all that.

...and to those who say the US can't play futbol - the US women have won the World Cup TWO of the five times it's been played. suck eggs Eurotrash, learn the sport!

you beat me to it. Its only a matter of time before the mens usa team starts winning as much as any of the other power teams, theyll still have cricket and rugby though.

Well, bear in mind that the tragic English team beat the US easily, and the English team are worse than everyone at the Euro2008 championships.

The US has a few half-decent players, but there is a world of difference between having a few half-decent players and having a competitive team.
Example: England.

having a competitive team? hells no, you didn't even make Euro 2008!

you can't really compare teams from years apart, our team from the last world cup was worse than the previous cup, the coach was a FAIL as well. I'm just glad we qualified.

I never wrote that the US had a good team, sure, we can get into the cup, that's pretty cool. I only put out there that our women's team has won the cup twice, AFAIK your women have never even qualified, KTHXBYE.

EPL is the best league in the world, but it's mostly imported talent, go figure. England's mens team has only won the cup once, 50+ years ago, you have no reason to cop attitude, unless you want to pay a poster from another country to do your trolling for you, then I might listen.

aaaaaanyway, the beautiful game, love it!!
