Strange, new controllers from Korg
Will be nice if you can put them on a rackmount.Patch wrote:I like the look of 'em all. I could definitely use all 3 of 'em. Easy. Those prices are DAMNED good too.

Just checked out the nanokeys a bit more, damn, looks like i'm getting the, all upon release. Nanopad is going to be the controller for my exile inspired reaktor ensemble, it's just perfect and nanoKONTROL looks so sleak and simple too, great stuff.
And yeah, the x/y has never crashed any application at all for me, even when i used 4 at the same time.

my studio desk is only about 1.5 foot deep. Small controllers are a must. give me them all!!!

And one that will most surely be overlooked by Korg.Machinate wrote:very good idea, that!DJ VAKIS wrote:Will be nice if you can put them on a rackmount.Patch wrote:I like the look of 'em all. I could definitely use all 3 of 'em. Easy. Those prices are DAMNED good too.
Unfortunately, gear manufacturers often ignore so many obvious options like rack-mountability, or conforming to a 19" width so their gear could be placed on a sliding rack shelf & stored in a rack case, etc. I've seen numerous pieces of gear that could have fit into a rack, but for some lame extra width of plastic that served no real purpose.
It's really great to find gear that has been thoroughly thought out. For example: the Electrix case design for their Filter Factory, Mo-FX, & Warp Factory: they can be rack mounted or used on a table top at the perfect angle!
I like my Doepfer MIDI controllers too: well designed & rugged. Pity they are no longer being made.

how about this for a live setup:
Do you actually know if they could be set up like that?
Coz like that with the Kontrol underneath would certainly 'float my boat'

I think all three of them are gorgeous in a kind of cute Casio toy keyboard kind of way, which I have 20 or so of very good by my standards!
USB port on the left = the new trend, so you can stick it in front of your keyboard or laptop and the cable doesn't get in the way of the mouse.
Software synths are matured, bring on the funky controllers!!!
