Hey Evanb,
Rave was having issues with his (I think the power adaptor stopped working) it's in a previous thread & I think he had a problem with more than 8 tracks not showing up.
The last versions of the software seems to have fixed that. Don't bother with the version that comes in the box it's really really crap, almost unusable. I tested the latest version last week and had a 36 track set open and could scroll through them and see all the track names.
I've used it out live a few times and it's worked a treat as well as getting plenty of envious glances from fellow musicians. I don't think I'll be bringing it all the time but it's nice to have the option.
As far as I'm aware it's still Mac only as they haven't completed the PC software yet & I'd have to say that you will get the most out of it in Logic it's fast and very intuitive. I expect the others will catch up but it takes time.
It's better looking and has a much smaller footprint that the mackie's, small enough to get into my performance set up and the eucon software for logic is slick,
So for me it's perfect for studio or on the road.
I was a super early adopter it's taken a little while or the software to catch up but they've been releasing new versions about every 3-4 weeks so well done Euphonix

I think they have cleared up most of the bugs now so its a good time to get one. Just make sure you rtfm before you install one.

MC Mix troubles
Hi,
is anyone using the MC Mix on a mobile computer successfully? I am looking for some hints, tipps, pointers and solutions, since I have a lot of problems with Live (6.0.10 and Trial 7.07) not connecting to the MC Mix after the computer falls asleep of I disconnect it to go someplayce with the computer.
Everything usually works after connecting the two, then restarting the computer, but in a waking state, even manually "Adding" the control surface in the "Surfaces" Tab of the EUControl software doesn't help.
In System preferences everything is set up correctly (things work after restart, after all), to use mackie control mode for Ableton Live.
I tried de- then reinstalling EuControl.
Even if the computer sleeps, the MC Mix goes offline until restart. This is really bothering me, because restarting right before you go on stage at a show just makes me very nervous -- Leopard on my Macbook Pro takes about 5 minutes.
Even while Live can't see the MC Mix, Logic Pro 8.0.2 in native EUcon mode works fine for me.
I really wish Ableton would support the EUcon protocol soon. Even though that would mean I'd have to buy an update to Live 7...
so if anyone can offer any help or ideas, I'd be extremely grateful!
thank you!
Kai
