move up and down in the clips/scenes with just two buttons?

Say i have a midicontroller with two knobs. can i program them to trigger the next scene? so i can scroll thru 10 scenes just by pushing the one button? or do i need 10 buttons?

i know you can do that by just using the down and up arrows on your keyboard and the enter button to launch the scene, but other than that i don't know if an action like that is MIDI controllable

you can do it with 2 buttons or one encoder.

open the help mode in the lower left corner of Live, turn on midi map mode (ctrl-m) and hover the mouse over the set of small buttons along the right side of the Live GUI just below the scenes. there's up, there's down and then there's a control setting to scroll with an encoder.

also notice the boxes that appear in every track, they launch the clip for that track in the selected scene. I love the combination of those.

wait. do you have two knobs? or one button?
