DJ'in Question: Songs with less than a 1 bar intro

Post by robouk5 » Thu Jun 19, 2008 12:56 pm

Hi all,
I have a question I hope someone can help with.
there are some songs that have vocals or sounds at the very beggining that are less than one bar IE
Rihanna - please dont stop the music

IF I am mixing in session view with 1 bar selected... and I start the song at the very begining to get the "please dont stop the" before the first downbeat it would put the mix out of sync as the "please dont stop the" is not a full bar

How can I overcome this problem so that I am able to drop the song from the very begining but still mix it with 1 bar.

Many thanks

Rob

just put it in arrangment view, and re-render it with enough space added to the beginning to get you the full bar.
we are all bound to do what we want most.

Or just change the loop start to the first beat, I very rarely bother to include the intro in to the next song, not unless it's really really nice. I guess it depends what sort of music you are mixing as well.

Cheers
