Novation Remote SL users : switching templates?

Post by Dosage » Fri Jun 20, 2008 1:08 am

so i recently picked up a sl 61 got a good deal on it .. everythings updated latest templates, os, drivers.. but i have 1 issue switching between automap universal template 38 and ableton live template 40. When i switch from automap universal to ableton automap the ableton controls stop functioning unless I do a midi dump in preferences. This ever happen to anyone ? Any idea why this is happening or maybe im just overlooking a setting , I have everything setup the way the manual says tho. Anyway thanks if you can help me out.

I have the same problem. My remote 25 sl says "Ableton ***WAIT***, and maybe 1 min later I have a feedback from ableton on my remote sl. Very anoying. Nobody has an idea?

something that works with my remote zero:

in the midi tab, remove it as a control surface, then put it back. It's sorta restarting it but ya know, not. Anyways, seems like it forces the two to start talking again.

Maybe that's faster than dumping the presets?

That is lame though dude, i hope its a stupid overlooked problem that's easy to fix.

i found a fix shouldve thought of it earlier .. just do the dump to the ableton automap and save the template on the sl now you can switch between any template.

I have a delay with "Ableton ***Wait***" myself. Does anyone know what this is? It's not fatal -- only about three seconds or so at most -- but annoying...
