I really like Gangstar.

What I have noticed is this thread has now turned into an old school hop hop thread. I was actually interested in new hip hop that had that east coast (I think) sort of sound. I mentioned Mos def as a reference point.

Still appreciating the suggestions mind.

funny, today's rap music is Adonis' Zeitgeist, that one topic that gets him going, nothing wrong with that, just think it's funny, he's so mellow, but DON'T DISRESPECT THE RAP!
;)

who was honored at the Hip Hop Honors show last night anyway? the hyphie crowd or the old school?

if you like Gangstarr, definitely track down Guru's album 'Jazzmatazz' a classic from back in the day when trip hop/mushroom jazz etc was at its height, a great project. IMO it's DJ Premier that makes Gangstarr hot, love that guy's work.

I guess I would like to be the voice of the "open mind" when it comes to rap and basically all music in general

I still love most of you

hey, if you're gonna be passionate about anything on an audio forum, it might as well be music, nothing wrong with that.

you still love most of me? I'll shower, maybe that'll help.
