Question: How to assign unmute to a midi-button?

Post by BjörnBjörk » Tue Jun 24, 2008 7:10 pm

Hi, I encountered an issue when building an effect rack. In one channel of the rack I want to have a delay that is set 100% wet, and I want my audiosignal going into that delay when I press a button. The signal shall only flow into the delay while I press the button. I thought I could do that with the utility plug put before the delay, and assigning a midi CC to the mute-button on it. Now it works fine muting the delay (the mute button gets activated while I hold my midi-button pressed). But I want to have it working the other way round - the signal should get unmuted while I press my button - and thus fed into the delay.

I tinkered a little bit with the settings in the midi-assign-panel on the left, changing maximum for minimum values etc, trying 65-127, 64-0 etc., but this has as a result that the mute button flickers (?! bug?).

Don't tell me "use a send" - I need this to be working within an audio-effects-rack.

Any idea?

right-click the Mute entry in the mapping editor and select 'Invert'
(values should be min 127, max 64)
