Ableton 6 un-registering itself, & reverting back to dem

Me and my friend went in on ableton and split the costs, we've had it some over a year now, a few months ago i upgraded to a mac book pro, so re installed ableton on my new computer.

2 weeks ago while getting set up to play at a festival, ableton was acting funny, so i restarted my computer.
when i opened Ableton back up, it un-registered it self, and reverted back to a demo mode..!!!!! this is the most frustrating experience. for recording, editing and all other fundamental functions are now not possible!!!

this was not a pirated version of ableton, we bought this together. and be cause we have used the cd key 3 times, His computer, my old computer, and now my new one. i cannot unlock it again. im stuck in demo mode!

any help, or similar experiences would be awsome

Did you try to unlock again on this same machine?
If the serial was already succesfully used on this machine, you should be able to unlock as often as you want on this machine (this is necessary after reinstalling etc.).
