Resampling in Mono

Post by sparky606 » Fri Jul 04, 2008 9:04 pm

Is it possible to resample in mono within Ableton?

I am resampling some mono vocals, but the new clips created by Ableton are stereo!

Surely there must be an easy way to convert stereo clips to mono within Ableton?

render them and click mono on the export/render dialogue. Then reimport the rendered file, ta da mono ! (I agree this is not a very functional way of doing things, coming from Cubase where you can set up mono tracks easily)

you can use the utility plugin to make a stereo plugin pseudo mono, but it uses the same CPU overhead as a stereo track (with a plugin),
