microkontrol and live/ impulse question

i cant seem to figure out how to assign my midi controls to live instruments ie. the drum pads to trigger impulse samples. i have no problem w/ clip assignment.

You need to assign the same notes Impulse uses to the pads you want to use via the microKontrol pad setting (Pad no. 3)
Post again if this doen't make sence.

to assign pads to impulse.... change the pads on your microkontrol to notes c3-c4 (natural notes... no sharps/flats).

NB... you can't do this from live.... you've got to set up a new scene in your microkontrol.... also set your pads to "momt", not "toggle".

thanx for the quik and useful reply. i tried using the micro software to change the pad values but couldn't before. ill try pad 3 and let you know..

i really cant get it. i assigned the pads to c3 48, d3 50 etc. but it still aint working. please help w/ details

you should also have the impulse channel 'armed', so it can receive the midi info from the microkontrol.

I'm glad I found this thread. I was starting with c3 as per the manual. Is this a misprint, or is this something idiosyncratic with the microkontrol? Thanks in any event. Saved me a lot of hassles.
