M-Audio O2

I have an M-Audio O2 keyboard and I'm trying to use it with Live. I set it as control surface 1 and selected the right input and output ports (both listed as USB Audio Device). I have enabled Remote and Track control for the input and output as well. The problem I have is that although the 8 knobs on it are supposed to control the parameters of whatever device I highlight (has the blue hand icon on it), the knobs don't do anything, no matter what preset I use on the device. Live is receiving midi data, so I'm not sure what the problem is. Does anyone know if there's a specific preset the device needs to be on?

I am using my 02 (that I just got yesterday) a bit differently -- I only use it for remote and track purposes. that works well.

I will look into the usage as a control surface and let you know what happens.
