I personally can't stand the waves products. Add to that that the packages cost so much, and I'd say you'd be hard pressed to find a bigger rip-off in the vst market... :?

Waves vs. Logic

rob,
have you ever used Logic plugs, and if so, can you compare it to your Waves Diamond bundle?

One plugin suite I can heartily recomment is the Sonnox suite. These are ace. The eq is great, Inflator is a dream come true, and the dynamics pack is also excellent.

Oh and the reverb is pretty nice too.

Go and demo them. quick, hurry, do it now!!!! ;-)

i think i would deffo go for these. reports are always a million/10. sonnox is nice. but the eq is just not versatile enough. when i tried it, i could not hi-pass past 500 HZ, which was really annoying.

if you can : UAD for sure (best eq, best comp / dynamic tool and an amazing easy to use reverb)

then some native tools are great (IMO) :

sonnox (great comp and reverb, eq is good also)

Flux spring pack (modern eq and comp)
