Ain't gonna be me. Not to be first, that is, I plan on being fleeced at 11:00 AM New York time tomorrow, just a few hours of shuteye away.

Then I promise to come back here and proclaim the amount of awesomeness I have achieved by attaining such a magical piece of wizardry.

Jealous f00ks.

Are these Apple fanatics who queue in front of an Apple store the same people who were in the queue for Lord Of The Rings and Star Wars? That's a scary bunch. I don't know what it is, but it sure ain't normal or healthy.

I got the moto racer game, and the wife got monkey ball. I was suprised at how sensitive and accurate the accelerometers are in the first gen iPhone I have, it was really fun playing those games that way. Much more than I expected anyway.

In terms of music apps, not really too much out there so far. Too cows Piano app is a pretty nifty way of saving melodies and such on the go it looks like, but I'm not sure how useful it'd be once you get back to the studio and want to transfer your ideas to the laptop. I don't think it exports midi, just audio.

I know there's a few music manufacturers who are still working on their iPhone apps, or waiting for them to get approved and online, so my guess is we'll see more interesting apps soon.

I wonder if we are going to see a basic transport controller like the alpha track but I don't know if that is too niche. I guess we'll have to wait and see how all the apps do before companies really feel motivated to create apps for the iphone and ipod touch in more specific fields.

I really like the free remote app that lets you control itunes and Apple TV, so much better than minimal Apple remote, and it even syncs the movie artwork to display on your iphone.

i'll admit picking up the 3G.

handed off my first gen to my lady, that was easy as hell too... erase the phone, insert sim, update her ATT thru iTunes, bling.

anyways i've only added myspace and the itunes remote. lame, i know

i do love the itunes remote because of the remote volume control since my firebox doesn't work with the builtin apple remote's volume.

my 2 cents.

What's the main differences with the 3G?

I've heard they aren't built as sturdy as the first generation.

The very grotesque payment plan! Oh, and lying about the entry-price, but I'll let that one go since the subscriptions fleece you even more!

(and yes, fleece is my new favourite word there)
