Every now and again Ableton seems to forget about the quantisation when trying to click on a location, on both the session and arrangement. it's stuck on 1 bar quant, but snapping to half-bar points (beat 2).
changing global quantisation or the quantisation of a clip doesn't seem to rectify this, and the only way I can sort it is to quit and re-open, when everything is then back to normal
bit worried it's going to do this in a live situation, which would be disastrous!
anyone noticed the same?
p.s. v7.0.7 osx
Worrying state in which locator quantisation is ignored..
I think I've figured out why it's happening
I have an (intentional) fragmentary bar earlier in my session, created by setting a new 4/4 time signature change where a tune has a errant half-bar before it kicks back in
launching from the clip view hits the new start of the bar, but from the sample display or clicking on the session it starts new clips as of the old time signature..
most peculiar, not sure how to resolve this?
