Is anybody in Shanhai? Shenzhen?

I've just moved Beijing lately and am dissapointed how music production here is undevelopped. It would take to much time to catch up with other city. So, I'm now thinking to move Shanghai or Shenzhen.

I'm wondering that dance music is relatively big in Shanhai but Shenzhen would be good for production cuz it has better access to Hongkong.

How's music production going at Shanhai & Shenzhen?

dunno about music production but i passed through Shenzhen a few months ago, didnt seem to be anything special. There's did seem to be quite a bit going on with music in Hong Kong though, found a music/studio equipment shop there selling some good stuff so there must be some something going on there.

I realized that beijing is way behind in terms of dance music production, while there are fewcommercial oriented producers.
(I met a professional producer who supplied Dow, S&P 500 companies. But her sound is not cutting edge while her sounds has electronica influence)

Majority of local djs are not interested in making own tracks and producers are not into dance music both hiphop and house/techno.

The music scene here seems a huge room to improve and the ones who engage in the industry is kinda paid well compare to other profession in this country while many musicians are now struggling make a living at overseas.

I'm going to studio next week with funk bass player from holland, though I don't expect much for the studio's quality.
If someone who lives in Shanghai or anywhere in China, and working on dance music real serious please let me know.

I might move that area and pay for your studio.

I'm in Shanghai. Took the last couple years of opportunity to get more into production.
There are a few people here gettin stuff out but still not tonnes. Maybe you know thatalready.

I finally found out where real dance music played.
The party two weeks ago at white rabbit was awesome.
I didn't know how good it is cuz I never been there early in a morning.
It lasted even 7 in a morning and I left there.

Music was techno/tech house set I don't know who spinned there.
In the end, I went next day, and next week two days straight again, even that was even after 4 or 5 bars and clubs, as a destination for the weekend.

Unfortunately while local professional djs said to me that Beijing has most production, I couldn't met real/serious producers.

Hopefully if somebody look at this board in China, please post your town's situation.
