live crossfader issue help!

i want to assign the cross fader to a fader in my novation remote sl. when i hit the midi assign button on the top right i can only assign midi for right center and left. i can't assign a knob or fader to the whole length of the fader to actually FADE. wtf? any ideas?

so, is there an answer to this question? i recently picked up an evolution x-session but haven't even plugged it in yet. i assumed it would be simple, but is that not the case?

i just plugged the xsession in, enabled remote control in midi prefs, and mapped it to the live crossfader.

simple indeed.
