A "master" for the follow action...

Is it possible to have one channel, say, the master strip, acting as a master for controlling the follow action of other clips?. This would be great for randomizing the feel of the rhythm/bass section of various clips. I use follow action a lot to randomize the drums, so that the rhythm never really repeats itself, but it would be good to have the bass (or any other instrument) responding to the drummer, if you know what i mean.

maybe this is one for the feat.wish list, but until then, if anyone have a solution, i´d be gratefull...
