recording clips and default behaviour

Hi

I've just been playing around with ver 4 and want to set it up to record a clip, and then play it back but not loop (so it plays back once each time it is triggered). I have set the default setting in preferences to one shot no warp. Any samples I drag into live inherit this behaviour, but when I record a clip it starts merrily looping away as soon as I stop recording and I have to deselct warp myself in the clips properties (but can't get at that until the clip has recorded.

Am I doing something wrong?
