Can anyone ansrew me this:
When I run my M-Audio Axiom 61 through USB and use it as a controller on Ableton Live 5 for VSTs and such, there is a slight delay. When Im trying to lay midi down with any sort of precision for swings and off beats and triplets and stuff, I cant quite get it live (can fix after of course) , because of the delay between the keys and the output.
Is this how any midi controller - VST connection works?
Is the USB connection a factor?
Or can I somehow fix this in Live's settings?
let me know, thanks!

MIDI controller delay!
lets make the nummies
it's not midi delay, it's audio delay.
up your sample rate, for example 96kHz sample rate has half the latency of 48Khz and 192kHz has half the latency of 96kHz.
midi delay is very rarely a problem, only when you're stringing external midi hardware in a long chain.
