applecare... where do you buy yours?

Hi guys,

I've got to buy the Applecare extended warranty on my MBP this month.
To buy it here in Spain from a authorized Apple centre nearly 400 euros

.. On ebay 131 euros! Registration code sent via email.. Anyone with any experience on this?

I've gone the EBay route several times; worked out fine.

Just keep in mind that if you ever decide to sell your MPB(Applecare included if there is still warranty remaining) you could run into problems transferring the AC registration to the new owner. Apple require the original AC receipt to be from a Apple certified reseller.

Anyone chime in to correct me if I'm wrong.

thanks or posting this one, i had no idea you could do this. i have never got apple care (and never needed it thankfully as it is well expensive. i think i will get some of this when i get a new computer. cheers

I bought it for my MBP, and used an Ebay seller. Went smoothly although I actually got the box sent to me rather than just the registration code.

WTF on those prices???

In Hong Kong, online Apple Store shows MBP AC for HK$2610, which Currency Converter says is 214 Euros.

Spanish Store shows it at 429 Euros!! So it costs double in Spain!

Oh well, Spain is different, as they say.

I bought mine directly from Apple, with some sort of employee discount...

Have had it replace my battery in the last few weeks, next we're going for the charger...

check out apple´s parts & labour, that´s like applecare without telephone support, only half the price! it´s not advertised on their websites, you have to ask the phone person in the apple store about it.
