ban BoryZee??

Post by Tone Deft » Tue Aug 05, 2008 12:41 am

he's a shady spammer
http://www.ableton.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=94683

Ableton says we're all moderators, maybe if enough of us spoke up we can get the thread deleted and get his IP blocked. he keeps bumping his thread.

you send in a remix, he owns it. he's been called out many times, doesn't know how a CD is encoded and claims to be a #1 hit producer. fail, fail, spam, fail and fail.

Dude. SSSSssshhhhh. It's me, man. Can't a brother run a remix contest without any credibility or solid answers? This great country of ours is based on that premise.

Funny, I never clicked in that thread because I don't give a crap about dance music remix contests. But apparently 10 pages worth of people here do. So this intrigued me to read the thread for it's potential entertainment value. What a contest, indeed. I've been doing my own little research project here and come up with plenty of stuff, but I do come to the conclusion that it's a lame attempt at marketing via our forum. So just drop him.

Hah I just read the last few pages for my own pure amusement as well. Nothing ticks me off more than an overused " ". BAN!

I'm with Spark Le Puff on this one..
Then i saw this thread and read the other one..
Its almost like the Nigerian scam of the music forum..
Every new page i kept expecting to find some post that described how to
make a bank transfer of the entry fee..
Gotta admire his persistence though..
especially after being outed by that one poster..

I just read the thread and yep, he wont give any info at all which sounds dodgy.so ban him.

sad thing is, I was thinking of doing a little remix contest for my electronic critters disc promotion, but this has put me right off...

Iv'e never understood the legalitie's of doing a remix so iv'e always sparred wide of them so what's the take?

Iv'e heard bootlegs galore over the years but what's the legal side of things?

I sometimes feel like doing a remix for a change but thought it would be a waste of time as it would never get released due to permissions or am i wrong..do you make the remix, send it off and then get the clearence?

I suppose if it were any good then permissions would be granted but like i said im not clear on the matter of remixing..

Cheers

I like the sound of that. Might have to adopt it as an alias.

Same here, bit long though, I read beginning and the last one - poor chaps jumping so enthusiastically on that,
Was there some entry fee ? I just wonder if it was just a joke or a "genuine"scam. How do they profit?
The "producers" here seem as desperate and easy to get as women over 30 with a promise of marriage.
