mp3 in live 7 lite

hi! i have just started to test my authorised version of live lite 7. currently i cannot read in mp3 files, but manuals say it´s possible. is there a special trick? or does the lite version not support mp3 format?

Sorry mate, as far as I know the Lite versions doesn't support mp3.

Pepehouse is right, no support for mp3s in Lite. You can use your media player to convert your mp3s to wav format or something similar though and it will be fine....

How come on the Lite comparison page it says MP3 is supported?

Surely this is false advertising as someone could easily buy this version thinking MP3 was supported?

(ie: me!!)

The comparison chart shows Live LE, not Live Lite.

this is unlikely.

Live Lite is not a product Ableton sells. They just do some special versions for companies like M-Audio, Korg, Novation..

Not even the full version plays mp3's...it just converts them to wav's...that's why I only use wav's or aiffs' to avoid the "extra" work to Ableton Live.
