hehe, i have just downloaded the iphone sdk for that purpose. i don't have a lot of free time though for research though. if anyone is an iphone programmer/developer who would be interested get in touch at [email protected]
i've also been playing with a mod of the DR1 which acts as an FX unit. You can pass drums through it and get some interesting aphex/bitstream type modulated sounds... early days at the moment though.

by the way, i emailed intua, asking if they wanted to include Dr Drone as part of iphone beatmaker... no reply as yet. start lobbying them now! ;-)

Yeah, watching the video I was thinking that I may use it to make drones not unlike those in the video! I play 100% improvised music on piano and I'm trying to incorporate my laptop into the mix. Some wicked drones like that may be cool at times...

Will check it out & report back...
