multiple loops for same audio file!!!

Post by jer » Mon Oct 18, 2004 3:41 am

there needs to be some way to implement separate asd files that all reference the same audio file! these should be easily saveable from the session window (i.e. highlight a clip and choose "save linked analysis file as..." and allows you to save it where you want with the name you want.

This would be of enormous help.

As a workaround currently I use the Consolidate command to grab a "Windowed" portion of a much larger wave file and then rename it however this is a little tedious of course ...

What would be even more special is the ability to define several loop positions, allow the user to name these positions, and then provide absolute controller hooks so that with the currently selected clip one could jump to different loop points.

Having alternative loop points stored within the same .ASD would be particularly beneficial to DJ-type users who may wish to loop different sections of the same tune.

Anyway ... there's my **bump** for the day ...

Cheers
