Rendering a DJ Mix and retaining seperate tracks

Post by jonnytekno » Fri Aug 08, 2008 8:18 pm

Does anyone know a way of rendering a continuous DJ mix but keeping it as separate tracks. I.e. it would end up like a proper mix CD where it was continuous but it moved from track to track?

I doubt Ableton can do it, but perhaps you know of something useful for splitting a large MP3 into separate tracks??

Cheers

You need to render from Live as one solid wav, and then use a CD burning program to put track markers in it. I believe Audacity will do it for free, but if not, CD Architect is one of the best ones on PC.

Put locators at the start of each track, then highlight the area between each of the markers and render individually. Probably a better way than this put im happy with it.

^ yeah, that's a good way of doing it too...make sure when you burn the CD with the output waves that there is no gap between the tracks...
