Its like fucking NEXT.

Richie Hawtins wack ass music has about as much funk & soul as a Luftwaffe pilot.
Do you truly feel that your opinion matters?

Don't like it? Don't listen to it. Babbling on about it like an idiot just makes you look like.......an idiot.

Do you truly believe your opinion matters on this tiny forum jackass?

Get real. Your responding to me makes me laugh. My diagnosis for your fucking clouded idiocy. 2 Covers of URB, 1 pair of blue blockers, 5 hits of acid, 1 BIG laser, some shrooms, 10 glow sticks and a lobotomy. Then Richie Hawtin will sound like Mozart.

pffft. Glow sticks and Ritchie Hawtin. you have no idea who he is do you?

How about you link to a DJ or producer that you think is L33T so we can all bask in the glow from your superior taste?

but i cant thank you enough for reminding me about blue blockers, one of my late night infomercial guilty pleasures.

GO DR GEEK!

Producer? Are you fucking kidding me? The guy has no talent. Its just 909 crap meets mindless boring drugged out shit. Yea, I'll throw out two. LFO and Aphex twin.

The flatulence coming out of Richard & Mark Bell’s ass after too many tacos globally would sound better than Richie Hawtins mindless shit on beat port half asleep any day.

As a musician if all your aspiring to be is Richie Hawtin, drop out of high school now, quit music lessons all together and ask mom for a PR agent at 3k a month.

Don't even get me started on how bad every true musician on earth laughed about the last opening Olympics sound track.

Half the people on this board sound better than Ritchie Hawtin. They're just missing the thanks mom for the $9,000 for the URB cover. wink wink

ive seen them both more than once. The music aside, i know which one of them (Aphex and RH) puts on the better show, and it sure aint Richard D 'nothing to see here juuuust checking my email folks" James.

but please continue ranting, Im enjoying the hole youre digging to Trolltown.

Definately 2 1d's, have one myself. Someone wrote on this forum the 3d's don't sound as good as the 92.
I don't think he uses the ctrl92 anymore, as the pictures of his 92 are exactly the same as those on xone.co.uk

In an interview (on the ableton site!) he states out he uses one mb for tractor for djing and another for ableton as a flexible fx unit

In Gent 10 days off he used two mb's the 92 and only one 1d. AND he mostly worked on the tractor mbp. Pushing buttons on the 1d as mad.
RealyRealyRealy great there at 10 days off

thanks for the tip on having multiple tracks simultaniously, can this be done wtih traktor?

no pictures, but I was backstage when he played 10 Days Off, so I saw the whole set-up. For those still interested. I wasn't really impressed by the sound of his set. Last year's was much better, but he is one hell of a dj, playing those tracks and the crowd like that. Very focussed on the sound and control. Nothing like the drugged out boozed up Tiefschwarz brothers who had more coke backstage then there where chinese people in the opening ceremony for the Olympics...
  • Allen & Heath Xone:92 mixer
Two Allen & Heath Xone:2D controllers
    MacBook Pro runnning Traktor
MacBook (black, broken screen) running Live with sereval effects, of which I recognised only the Lexicon emulation
The 92 acts as the main mixer
it also sends audio via some auxilary channels to Live that does all the effects. Each 2D controls an app.

Thats Cool Simon, what where you doing there, back stage,
Saw pictures on the internet, and live at 10daysoff from the balcony thru the smoke.
So he runs his audio thru the 2d,s out of the computer? The karakter of the sound was realy nice. Searching for that quality, but just bought a 1d, so probably it's gonna be NI AK 1 or 8

If you like, check http://www.myspace.com/inaballoon
Music is deep techno, somewhere between Richie Hawtin and alterego Plastikman, somewhat different though.[/url]

Kill me now.

Fucking KILL ME NOW.

Horrid. Absolutely fucking horrid.

If I had to make a Sophie's Choice between giving up my first born to the Nazis or being dragged to a Hawtin concert, there wouldn't be a choice at all. So long, kid. Goodbye, goodluck.

Does he not use turntables at all anymore? I thought one uses turntables to control Traktor Scratch?

Is he using Traktor or Traktor Scratch? Traktor 3 is a non turntable version.

this is slightly off-topic, but for a second, i thought your username was "anal judie"

actually it is WAY off topic.

anyways back to OT... i dont see the need for drama over RH. Some people like him. Some dont. And some (like myself) are just normal people whose tastes fluctuate, so sometimes they dig it, sometimes they dont... depending on mood, time, place, company, etc.

Us normal people are weird.

WHHHhhhooa whooa whoa fellas! Let me end all the confusion here. I'm a Detroiter and have been very familiar with the man's setup for some time now:

Laptop 1: Live
Laptop2: Pornographic images of Magda
Under Table: Matt Dear
