Feedback welcome: first track finished!

I am really unsure how people will recieve this track. As I've tried to explain in the MySpace biog thing, my areas of interest include: electronica / acousmatic / musique concrete / found sound / field recording / electroacoustic / etc etc... and I'm not sure who else on the forum likes this sort of stuff.

I guess the best comparison I can make - in terms of a piece of music in this genre that people are likely to have heard - is 'Revolution 9' from The Beatles' 'White Album'. I'm not a Beatles fan, but 'Revolution 9' is possibly the most widely distributed avant garde 'music' ever!

Any comments/reaction would be welcome. Be as critical as you like, I know I am asking for it by releasing this kind of 'music' I would hope though that people can appreciate the value in treading a different path and pushing the boundaries. Which, I humbly but fervently, believe I am trying to do.

You're right. Most people will not appreciate it here.

But I do. My tracks are similar to yours but I don't post them here because it's pointless and I don't want people to know who I am. Most members post their music here for "approval" or self promotion. But in actually you don't need our approval at all.

Like you, I do experimental. I think your track is good but it doesn't matter what I think. But I wanted to say is thanks for being original and not using a house or techno loop. You are starting to create your own sound and on the right path. In the long run you will be ahead of everyone else. Keep it up, make 12 tracks, duplicate some CD's and post them on amazon so me and other people can buy your stuff. And never listen to what anyone says about your music, not family or friends. Believe in it and you will go far.

I really enjoyed this piece. Thanks for sharing it.
You have a unique sound and you are doing it well.

I agree that you shouldn't worry much about what other people think but it is always nice (and sometimes helpful) to get some feedback on something you put so much effort into.

It's true there are not a lot of people on this board who comment on experimental music but there are a few of us.
I appreciate the feedback I have gotten as well as the chance to hear some interesting music from others.

Anyway, keep up the good work and I hope to hear more from you. Peace.

Hi Leon,

It has taken me 35 years to find my self, only which of 10 I was really trying. So yes it does take time. It's VERY unlikely a new artist will know them self's early. Wish you the best!
